Provide outstanding academics and extracurriculars
Every Pennridge student deserves exceptional educational opportunities to prepare them for success. We are committed to expanding academic offerings while maintaining support for the trades, so all students have a pathway to their chosen future. This includes our most vulnerable learners. We will ensure special education programs receive the resources they deserve. We also proudly support extra-curricular programs because students excel when they have access to sports, theatre, music, clubs, and the arts. As a board we will work hand in hand with Pennridge staff, many of whom live in our district, to strengthen academic and extracurricular offerings. We trust and respect our staff, and we challenge our opponents to demonstrate the same. We understand our students’ success is tied directly to the hard work of all district employees–bus drivers, cafeteria staff, maintenance workers, paraprofessionals, office staff, teachers, coaches, and administration–and we thank them for all they do for students.
strengthen our district to make our community proud
A strong school district is the foundation of a thriving community. Pennridge schools directly impact our home values and our local reputation. A few short years ago, under poor board leadership, we witnessed how quickly the district’s reputation can fall. We pledge to maintain a strong and stable Pennridge: a place where exceptional teachers want to spend their careers; a place where every student feels safe, valued, and supported in their educational journey. We believe in strengthening our district by building trust and working with parents to provide them with the information they need to support their children’s success. We believe in a Pennridge that makes us all proud, a place where families want to live, learn, and grow together.
protect our schools from political and outside influence
Schools should not be about politics; they should serve students and families. Two years ago our district suffered when political extremists took over our board and outsourced curriculum and policy writing to controversial political outsiders at Vermilion Education and the Independence Law Center. Staff fled our district, and classrooms were left without teachers. Tax-payers footed the bill for irresponsible contracts and legal-battles. Thankfully, stability has returned to Pennridge, and we are committed to maintaining it. We will continue hosting community seminars and outreach events to find common ground and build bridges across our district. Unlike our opponents, we do not see this position as a political stepping stone or an opportunity to enact a personal agenda. We are parents, who believe in keeping politics out of schools and focusing on issues that matter in Pennridge.
ensure smart financial planning and stability
Being responsible with taxpayer dollars is key to maintaining community trust and ensuring our children learn in safe, warm, and dry facilities. We are committed to smart financial planning that prioritizes student needs while keeping taxes as low as possible. Decisions will be made with transparency and accountability, focusing on long-term stability rather than short-term political gain. As board members, we will work closely with administration to identify cost-saving opportunities, and we will advocate for fair state funding that protects our district’s resources. We condemn contracts, like the one awarded under the prior extremist board, that benefit outside consultants rather than Pennridge students. We believe Pennridge dollars should stay in Pennridge.
